Learning Objectives Participants should be able to understand how neuroimaging studies are used to diagnose dementia and enhance the treatment of patients with dementing illnesses; know when to order scans in a headache evaluation and which imaging modalities will be most diagnostically and economically effective; understand the technical basis of MR spectroscopy, functional neuroimaging modalities, and ultrasound; know how these technologies are useful in the study and management of neurological patients; and expertly manage stroke patients with appropriate neuroimaging studies.
