Priority issues
What are AAN advocacy priorities?
Issues important to AAN advocacy include:
Lowering out-of-pocket medication costs for Medicare Part D drugs
Support research funding for the NIH and the BRAIN Initiative
Expand access to telestroke services
Support drug price transparency
Support legislation to add neurology as an eligible specialty in a primary care incentive program
Reduce regulatory burdens by supporting legislation that streamlines step therapy requirements
Support reauthorization of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI)
BrainPAC gives neurology a strong and steady voice in Washington. As the only federal PAC devoted exclusively to neurology, it helps educate legislators on our key priorities, supports champions of our field in Congress, and empowers AAN advocates to build relationships with lawmakers throughout the year.
