Learning Objectives Upon completion:
Participants should be able to assess whether any published study provides strong or weak evidence; understand the ways in which methodologic quality is assessed for therapeutic, diagnostic, prognostic, and causality studies; understand the diagnostic/prognostic value of specific MR criteria in persons with suspected multiple sclerosis; assess the components of the neurologic and electrodiagnostic exam most likely to assist in the diagnosis of polyneuropathy; and determine when the newer antiepileptic drugs may be of benefit in the treatment of epilepsy.
