Participants should be able to describe emerging concepts regarding the pathophysiology of concussion and diagnostic biomarkers; institute clinically useful diagnostic tests when indicated; provide state-of-the-art management of concussed athletes and individuals, including those with persistent symptoms; implement safe and appropriate return to play, school, work, and life decisions; and educate athletes, nonhealthcare professionals, and other health care practitioners on key issues related to concussion.
