Participants should understand diagnostic modalities available for the assessment of pain in the setting of neurological disease; aware of recent developments in the basic sciences that impact the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of pain-associated neurological conditions; familiar with several agents for the treatment of pain and familiar with the agents commonly used in certain settings; and familiar with the current recommendations for evaluation and management of pain conditions commonly seen in neurologic practice.
