Participants should be able to explain how diffusion and perfusion MRI are acquired and the indications for ordering these sequences in a variety of brain disorders; list brain disorders amenable to study by SPECT and PET and why it may be advantageous to use these modalities in specific situations; and describe the indications and most frequent imaging patterns in patients with brain tumors, stroke, headache, dementia, and pediatric disorders.
