Learning Objectives Upon completion:
Participants should become familiar with accepted and potential indications for intravenous and intra-arterial thrombolytic therapies, neuroprotectants, and interventional devices for acute stroke treatment; understand accepted and potential indications for anticoagulant therapies for acute stroke treatment, and first and recurrent stroke prevention; and become familiar with indications for single and combination antiplatelet therapies for recurrent stroke prevention and the concept of aspirin resistance as well medications that might influence the effectiveness of aspirin therapy.
