Participants should have greater insight into the importance of the case study and how it can advance understanding of models of neurological disease, critically contribute to the recognition of new syndromes, and be a starting point for generation of new hypotheses regarding neurological function; understand the approach neurologists of the past had to the treatment and examination of patients; and review critical cases that provide an in-depth look at the origins of our understanding of certain neurological functions and diseases.
