Participants should understand the indications for surgery and medical treatment options for spondylotic spine disorders; learn the expected imaging findings seen in asymptomatic individuals and in patients with common spine conditions; be familiar with interventional procedures that can be offered to patients with spine and limb pain instead of or prior to surgical treatment; and understand what a spine surgeon does in the operating room to patients who undergo spine surgery.
