General Neurology/Neurology of Systemic Disease
Participants should be familiar with concepts of abuse, how to screen for abuse, and how to refer patients who have survived abusive relationships; types of abuse and associated risk factors, techniques for inquiring about abuse, documenting abuse, and how to refer patients with a history of abuse or patients who are currently in abusive relationships. Participants should understand the association between abuse and neurological disorders.

Participants will be able to discuss the most commonly encountered neurological injuries of war. They will be able to ascertain the severity of the physical and psychological injuries and the impact on their patients.

Participants will be able to identify potential neurological presentations after a natural disaster. These neurological disorders may be unusual in other circumstances but are important to recognize and treat in a timely fashion.
