Participants should understand the varied clinical features of Bell鈥檚 palsy and its sequelae based on the anatomy of the facial nerve; be familiar with the differential diagnosis of peripheral facial palsy; be familiar with the 鈥渞ed flags鈥 suggesting a secondary cause of a peripheral facial palsy; be familiar with the natural history of Bell鈥檚 palsy; be familiar with current treatment trials and recommendations for the management of Bell鈥檚 palsy.
