Epilepsy/Clinical Neurophysiology (EEG), Palliative Care
Participants should become familiar with common clinical scenarios and management tools relevant for palliative care in the setting of neurological disease; learn the latest approaches to diagnosis and treatment of seizure disorders; learn the updated names for the various types of seizures; understand the new classification of the different epilepsy syndromes; know when to treat a first seizure; learn when it is reasonable to stop antiseizure medications; plan how to treat acute repetitive seizures (clusters); know the three stages of status epilepticus and the guidance on how to treat them; and understand the newest information on pregnancy management and driving advice.
