Participants should become familiar with the neurobiological and cognitive mechanisms that make medical misinformation compelling and resistant to correction, understand the impact of misinformation on neurologic care and patient outcomes, and learn practical strategies for addressing misinformation both in the clinical encounter and in digital and public spaces.
