Learning Objectives Differentiate peripheral neurologic injuries in athletes by integrating mechanism, pattern-based exam, and targeted provocative maneuvers through case vignettes. Select and time diagnostic tests (focused exam, EMG/NCS, ultrasound, MRI) to confirm diagnosis, inform prognosis and guide return-to-play (RTP) decisions. Identify red flags requiring urgent intervention. Apply RTP algorithms and counseling pearls in coordination with physical therapists, athletic trainers and other specialists.
