This session will be co-led by Drs. Amy Brooks-Kayal, chair of the ABPN board of directors, and Jeffrey Lyness, ABPN President and CEO. They will begin with a brief update on the ABPN’s mission, people, and general activities. The speakers will then describe the ABPN’s continuing certification program, including its rationale and specific requirements. As well, they will offer perspectives on how neurologists in academic and other clinical practice settings can meet those requirements, many through activities that they are already doing in their careers. The presenters also will briefly outline ABPN’s grant awards programs for educational research and educational innovations related to training and lifelong learning. There will be ample time for questions and discussion with attendees.
