Academic departments often struggle to translate institutional goals into division-level engagement, particularly in times of organizational strain. There's a lack of practical models showing how administrative leaders can partner with physician leaders to empower, build trust, and create shared accountability around clinical operations and faculty performance. This session explores a collaborative leadership model between administrative and clinical leaders in a large neurology department, focused on building trust and transparency through data-driven engagement. Aa senior neurology administrator, and the clinical Vice Chair, will share their standardized approach to engaging 12 division chiefs overseeing more than 100 clinicians through quarterly strategic meetings, data sharing, and faculty communication tools. They will highlight how this partnership has shaped a culture of mutual accountability, empowered leaders with actionable insights, and improved clinical and financial performance. Attendees will leave with replicable strategies to align teams, demystify performance metrics, and strengthen departmental cohesion. By the end of this session, participants will be able to: 1. Describe a leadership framework for aligning administrative and clinical leadership around shared goals. 2. Apply strategies for using performance metrics to engage division leaders and uncover growth opportunities.3. Identify approaches to build trust, clarify expectations, and foster transparency during challenging organizational times. 4. Implement tools that enhance faculty understanding of patient access, productivity and billing accountability.
