Learning Objectives Upon completion:
Participants should have a deeper knowledge of molecular aspects of olfaction; be able to appreciate how this sensory modality can be measured and the limitations of such measurement; realize the importance of testing olfaction in all head injured patients and its medicolegal implications; and be alerted to the prognostic value of otherwise unexplained anosmia in early diagnosis of degenerative disease.
