Learning Objectives Participants should be able to describe essential elements necessary to build and maintain hospital-based telestroke networks, anticipate common barriers to effective implementation of telestroke networks, review emerging evidence supporting pre-hospital telemedicine to reduce alarm-to-treatment times, identify opportunities for implementation of pre-hospital telemedicine in stroke systems of care, and understand the utility of telemedicine peripherals to extend clinical examination and diagnosis beyond current practice.
