Participants should understand how to use the cardinal tenets of neurotoxic disease to help differentiate a potential toxic neuropathy from one naturally occurring; understand how psuedotoxic neuropathies can mimic true neurotoxic disease and how to differentiate between them; and understand the role and limitation of blood levels and body burden, how to best use the electrodiagnostic data, and how some select neurotoxins produce neuropathic disease.
