General Neurology/Neurology of Systemic Disease
Upon completion:
Participants should be able to diagnose and treat the common neurological infectious diseases; recognize and treat the common seizure disorders; treat patients with Parkinson's disease utilizing both medical and surgical treatments; utilize the current medial and surgical approaches to the various movement disorders other than Parkinson's Disease; prescribe up-to-date treatments for the important neuropathic disorders; recognize and treat the important myopathic and neuromuscular diseases; identify patients with Alzheimer's disease and apply current evidence to choosing appropriate treatments; and diagnose and manage patients with non-Alzheimer's dementias.

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed Update in Neurology II and has approved this product as part of a comprehensive lifelong learning program, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of maintenance of certification.
