Participants will become familiar with evidence-based recommendations for diagnostic testing and treatment of common lumbar spine disorders, including when to obtain advanced imaging, when and what kind of spine injections to order, the appropriate use of opioid analgesics for acute and chronic low back and radicular lower limb pain, and when to recommend lumbar spine surgery. We will also discuss the evidence behind spinal cord stimulation and its role in patients with back and/or limb pain.
