Participants should have a working knowledge of current concepts of neurodegeneration; be able to provide patients with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, ALS, and Huntington's disease and their families a better understanding of the underlying nature of these conditions tempered with realistic expectations; and be able to assist patients in interpreting information about new discoveries and investigational drugs.
