Epilepsy/Clinical Neurophysiology (EEG)
Participants should become familiar with the current recommendations for the diagnostic evaluation of individuals with drug-resistant focal epilepsy who may be candidates for surgical treatment. The concept of a surgically remediable epileptic syndrome in people with epilepsy will be presented. Clinical pearls to identify highly favorable candidates for epilepsy surgery will be provided. The efficacy and safety of selected operative procedures will be reviewed.
