Learning Objectives Participants should be able to understand some of physics related to the generation of MRI scans; explain how diffusion and perfusion MRI are acquired and the indications for ordering these sequences in a variety of brain disorders, especially ischemia and infarction; understand the role of neuroimaging in the diagnosis and management of infections, spinal disease, toxic-metabolic diseases, brain tumors, pediatric diseases, and multiple sclerosis; and explain the education, credentialing, and reimbursement opportunities for neurologists in MRI practice.
