Winners of the 2014 Neuro Film Festival Announced

The Neuro Film Festival is an annual contest presented by the American Brain Foundation to help raise awareness about why more research is needed to cure brain diseases such as Alzheimer鈥檚 disease, stroke, autism, Parkinson鈥檚 disease, and multiple sclerosis. GRAND PRIZE ($1,000 and a trip to Philadelphia) Awarded by a select panel of judges for the film exhibiting creativity in a technically polished presentation: 鈥淒ystonia Devin鈥 by Devin McClernan, Kenwood, CA RUNNER-UP PRIZE ($500 and a trip to Philadelphia) Awarded by a select panel of judges: 鈥淟ife is a Journey鈥 by Douglas Browning, Kennewick, WA FAN FAVORITE AWARD (Online Recognition) Awarded by peers as a result of public voting on video entries: 鈥淢y Hero, an MSA Angel Story鈥 by Alix Sun, Sarasota, FL The Grand Prize and Runner-Up filmmakers received a trip to Philadelphia, PA, to see their videos premiered during the 好色先生鈥檚 66th Annual Meeting. The Fan Favorite video was shown at the Brain Health Fair during the AAN Annual Meeting. More than 66 video entries were submitted to this year鈥檚 Neuro Film Festival on a variety of neurologic conditions. The collective videos received thousands of YouTube views.
