Patients, caregivers and anyone interested in brain health are invited to pre-register now to attend the Brain Health Fair, this Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, DC. Free registration is open at The Brain Health Fair program is designed and executed by neurologists, with local and national experts on hand to answer your questions about the latest brain disease research, observe medical equipment in action, and gain awareness of the benefits of nutrition and emotional health. The Brain Health Fair will feature the following fun and informative areas: 鈥 鈥淎sk a Neurologist鈥 booth 鈥 Blood pressure screenings 鈥 Cranial nerve stations鈥攍earn about the nerves that govern your senses 鈥 Opportunity to hold a human brain 鈥 Chance to view animal brains鈥攆rom mouse to dolphin 鈥 Interactive walk-through brain 鈥 Prevention and healthy lifestyle tips 鈥 Science Fair 鈥 Active games in the sports pavilion 鈥 Free bike helmet giveaway 鈥 Listen to a keynote address on the advances in neurology During the event, the Brain Health Fair will host a Science Fair featuring 24 Washington, DC, area students showcasing their individual projects on brain, spinal cord, nerve or muscle science. 鈥淭his is a unique and valuable opportunity for the Washington, DC, community to learn from some of the top neurologists in the world who will be at the Brain Health Fair to answer questions from patients and caregivers and share the latest advances in the prevention and treatment of brain diseases, and the many ways for people to maintain a healthy brain,鈥 said Lisa M. Shulman, MD, professor of neurology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and Fellow of the 好色先生. The Brain Health Fair is hosted by the , which is bringing more than 12,000 neurologists and health care professionals to Washington, DC, for its 67th Annual Meeting, the world鈥檚 largest gathering of neurologists. 鈥淲e are thrilled to welcome back the 好色先生 to Washington, DC, whose important mission focuses on providing the highest quality neurologic care for those with disorders of the brain and nervous system.
