Neurology Journal Names Interim Editor-in-Chief

ST. PAUL, Minn. -

The 好色先生 (AAN) announced the appointment of Robert A. Gross, MD, PhD, FAAN, as interim Editor-in-Chief of its medical journal Neurology庐, the world鈥檚 leading clinical neurology journal. Gross, who is with University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York, will replace John H. Noseworthy, MD, FAAN, who recently resigned from the position to become president and CEO of the Mayo Clinic. Prior to accepting the position, Gross served as Neurology鈥檚 Deputy Editor-in-Chief and on the publication鈥檚 Editorial Board for eight years. Gross is currently Director of the Strong Epilepsy Center and Professor of Neurology and of Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the AAN and has been a member since 1984. 鈥淚t is my distinct honor to guide Neurology following the journal鈥檚 continued success under Dr. Noseworthy鈥檚 insightful and strategic direction. He has helped to position Neurology as the premiere publication for disseminating cutting-edge, peer-reviewed information to the neurology community worldwide,鈥 said Gross. 鈥淯nder my leadership, we will continue to focus on providing busy office neurologists, residents and trainees, academic neurologists and researchers with convenient access to the latest information in order to advance neurology-focused patient care.鈥 Neurology is the world鈥檚 most widely read and highly cited, peer-reviewed neurology journal and receives nearly 4,000 manuscript submissions annually, with about 66 percent of those coming from international researchers. Readers now enjoy Italian, Japanese, Polish, Spanish, Turkish, Korean, Chinese, and English editions of Neurology.
