To provide an overview of Public Health Awareness and Continuing Medical 好色先生(CME) activities of Child Neurology Division, AIIMS, New Delhi over the  last decade.

Apart from providing twice weekly outpatient, 5 specialty clinics, in-patient, 24X7 emergency and telehelpline/tele-consultation services to >10,000 children each year, the division is actively involved in developing diagnostic tools, arranging Continuing Medical 好色先生, Public Health Lectures, radio and television programmes and articles in print media for caregivers/physicians.

Four diagnostic instruments for autism, ADHD, epilepsy, and Neuromotor Impairment have been developed, validated in clinical trials and subsequently converted into freely downloadable mobile applications.  Screening instruments for Neurodevelopmental disorders have been developed and validated. This was supplemented with launch of a interactive webpage (www.pedneuroaiims.org), with information on various neurodevelopmental disorders(NDDs). CME activities include National Conferences, National training workshops to train master trainers in Autism, Symposia on NDDs, Developmental and Neurological examination for students and pediatricians (which are freely available on website), E-learning modules on 38 Neurological/ Neurodevelopmental disorders and a Neuropharmacopia. Twenty bilingual parent information booklets on 8 NDDs, freely available remediation program for learning disability and registry on NDDs are being developed. About 50 radio and television educational programmes, disability certification and help in ensuring inclusive education are other social welfare activities.

On an average, yearly about 100 postgraduate students and 300 physicians are being trained. Mobile applications have been downloaded on more than 2000 mobile phones and are being used by more than 1500 physicians across the country. The webpage gets an average of >22000(up to 32000)  hits monthly.  Weekly about 100 caregivers receive teleconsultation. Yearly about 350 children receive disability certificate and 5000 caregivers receive parent information booklets.  

Empowering caregivers and health care practitioners is essential for improving quality of care of children with NDDs.
