Participants should become familiar with recent advances in the diagnosis and management of cerebral venous disorders, cardioembolic stroke and large hemispheric infarcts; learn the new criteria for national stroke center certification; and review study design issues in clinical stroke trials.

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed Cerebrovascular Disease: Advances in Stroke for the New Millennium and has approved this product as part of a comprehensive lifelong learning program, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of maintenance of certification.
