Upon completion:
Participants should be able to describe the pharmacotherapeutic options available in the management of chronic pain; be aware of the novel concept of adding low doses of opioid antagonists to opioid analgesics in order to enhance opioid analgesia; be familiar with the use of topical analgesics; and develop a rational approach to the management of spinal pain.
