Participants should develop core skills in reading EEGs in adolescents and children; become familiar with major developmental landmarks and physiologic variants during EEG maturation (often misdiagnosed as epileptiform abnormalities), EEG findings in classic epilepsy syndromes, and early selection of epilepsy surgery candidates; learn management options for classic pediatric epilepsy syndromes as well as decision-making steps in the selection of pediatric surgical candidates.
