Participants should be able to identify and describe the prevalence and characteristics of different headache types during a woman's lifespan; recognize and differentiate primary versus secondary headaches in women, especially during pregnancy and post-menopause; summarize the latest data on the use of hormonal contraceptives and treatment on women with migraine headaches; and propose an algorhythm for the treatment of migraine headaches in women, including during pregnancy.
