Learning Objectives Brain disorders are a significant driver of illness, spending, and death globally. The associated burden is expected to grow in the years to come, creating new challenges for health systems, employers, patients, and families. Participants will be able to describe the growing magnitude of brain disorders and the role of data to help decision-makers tasked with allocating resources for funding and public health interventions; understand the Brain Health Consortium's standardized, science-based approach for quantifying the present burden, future trends, and economic impact of brain health conditions for various stakeholders; compare and contrast variation in the burden of brain disorders across countries and age groups and by sex, and gain specific insights on underlying drivers; explain the different components and perspectives associated with cost of brain disorders and the magnitude of the indirect costs associated with brain disorders; and examine potential solutions for improving brain health equity locally and globally via better policy and resource prioritization.
