Participants should become familiar with major communicable and non-communicable global burden of neurologic diseases represented by neuroinfectious diseases and stroke, including the epidemiology across the globe and the disproportionate burden in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs); and become familiar with the challenges and burdens that exist for these neurologic problems in terms of limited resources in LMICs and lessons learned in addressing them.
