Learning Objectives This session will review best practices for affirming neurodiversity amongst health care providers, staff, and patients. The core principles of neurodiversity affirming practices are: Intersectionality, Respecting Autonomy, Presuming Competence, Validating Differences, Rejecting Neuronormativity, Reframing Expectations, Promoting Self-advocacy, and Prioritising Lived Experience. The session will also provide a brief primer on neurodiversity and inclusive practices, and a panel that includes discussion questions for dialogue between panelists and attendees.
