Participants should be able to define qualitative and quantitative methods of measuring educational contributions, understand methods used to enhance teaching skills, and current curricular and pedagogical issues relevant to undergraduate and graduate neurological education. Residency program directors should understand the following: medical science and practical issues surrounding sleep deprivation during residency, and counter measures; issues regarding the appropriate training of child neurology residents during the adult neurology year; and the impact of new duty hour requirements on neurology residency programs.
