To achieve our moonshot in neurology, we must harness the transformative power of prioritizing the healthcare of the most vulnerable members of our society. We can do this by fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in our departments. In this educational session, we delve into the roots and ramifications of bias in the field of neurology, from the bench to the bedside. We will explore the many ways bias impacts patient care and our professional interactions. We'll display strategies for acknowledging and addressing these biases, fostering open dialogue about their effects in our current societal landscape. We will propose actionable solutions to safeguard access to care and nurture the next generation of neurologists. Finally, by unveiling the hidden power of microaffirmations, we will unlock the pathway to profound human growth and flourishing.
