Learning Objectives In this ITU, we review the 2023 updates to the NIA AA framework for the diagnosis and classification of Alzheimers disease. We will review why we need an updated framework, the novel pathophysiologic mechanisms highlighted in the new model (especially neuroinflammation), and potential clinical applications.
