Learning Objectives Participants should be familiar with the anatomy of the greater occipital nerve and other nerves of the head and neck that may be blocked in headache treatment; the indications and contraindications for the use of nerve blocks; and the technique of blocking the various nerves; the technique of botulinum toxin injections for headache treatment; and the current scientific controversy regarding its use for this indication.
