Participants should be able to develop a checklist for reviewing imaging studies that will improve their ability to identify significant findings whose recognition positively impacts patient management, in a fashion not possible without integrated clinical and imaging expertise; define four major types of CNS vascular malformations, and acquire the expertise required to identify vascular malformations on imaging studies of their patients; be familiar with newer imaging techniques and their relevance to patient care in traumatic brain injury; and know the physical basis of SWI and the application of this advanced high field technique to various central nervous system disorders, including multiple sclerosis, dementia, stroke, and brain tumors.
