Upon completion:
Participants should understand the specific considerations important in treating epilepsy in children and the elderly; the importance of prompt treatment of status epilepticus will be appreciated along with the best therapy for these patients; the appropriate use of vagus nerve stimulation; and hear about some of the investigational methods of brain stimulation that may hold promise for future therapy.

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed Clinical Epilepsy II and has approved this product as part of a comprehensive lifelong learning program, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of maintenance of certification.
