Participants should become familiar with the neuroanatomy and physiology of bladder control, including the roles of the autonomic and somatic nervous systems; identify and localize types of bladder dysfunction in neurological conditions, and determine the need for advanced diagnostic tools like urodynamics; assess the effectiveness of pharmaceutical and interventional treatments, such as sacral neuromodulation, for bladder dysfunction; develop multidisciplinary management plans for neurogenic bladder, incorporating behavioral, lifestyle, and long-term care strategies; and analyze case studies to propose appropriate diagnostic and management strategies for bladder dysfunction in neurological diseases.
