2026 Annual Meeting | C46 - Case Studies: Challenging Clinical Cases in Pediatric Neurocritical Care: Diagnosis, Management, and Prognostication

Saturday 04/18/26
05:30 PM - 07:30 PM CDT Add To Calendar
This program will be presented both in-person and online
This program will be available in the meeting's On Demand product.
Seminar
Raquel Farias-Moeller, MD
Child Neurology and Developmental Neurology
Participants should learn to identify quantitative EEG trends in three separate clinical scenarios: 1) the child with seizures, 2) the child with cerebral herniation syndrome, and 3) the child with focal ischemia. Participants should be able tol distinguish periodic and rhythmic patterns such as macroperiodic oscillations and seizures, different patterns of global loss of fast activity heralding diffuse suppression, and changes on alpha-delta ratios as a means to detect focal ischemic changes.
