Participants should be able to appraise the clinical consequences of EEG overreading and understand why accurate and reliable interpretation is essential for optimal patient care; Ccomprehend the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology (IFCN) criteria for defining interictal epileptiform discharges in EEG interpretation; and apply the IFCN criteria to differentiate non-epileptiform transients and normal variants/artifacts from epileptiform discharges in EEG recordings.
