Participants should become familiar with the current evidence for evaluation and management of concussion in early childhood and recognize unique features at this age; be able to identify the role of neuropsychological assessment and the key behavioral and psychological aspects of persisting symptoms after concussion; and be able to illustrate an approach to the acute assessment of concussion on the sideline and in the early post-injury period.
