Participants should be able to identify the unique aspsects of epilepsy care in individuals with Down syndrome ranging from differences in age of onset, response to anti-seizure medications, and long-term sequelae; understand the core clinical symptoms of Down Syndrome Regression Disorder (DSRD) and formulate therapeutic management plans based on neurodiagnostic study results; and understand the unique causes of Alzheimer's in persons with Down syndrome and understand novel therapeutic strategies.
