Epilepsy/Clinical Neurophysiology (EEG)
Patient should be able to: Apply evidence-based protocols for acute seizure management including the updated operational definition of status epilepticus, optimal first-line and second-line pharmacologic interventions, and strategies for managing refractory and super-refractory status epilepticus; Implement the revised ILAE seizure classification system and integrate AI-enhanced EEG interpretation tools into clinical practice, recognizing hidden epilepsy patterns through dynamic brain network analysis and understanding the clinical applications and limitations of emerging neurophysiologic technologies; Evaluate patients for comprehensive epilepsy treatment including newly approved pharmacologic agents, surgical candidacy using updated selection criteria, and neuromodulation approaches such as responsive neurostimulation, deep brain stimulation, and vagus nerve stimulation; Stratify risk in patients with epilepsy including SUDEP assessment, implement prevention strategies using emerging monitoring technologies, and coordinate multidisciplinary care approaches to optimize safety and treatment outcomes across the epilepsy care continuum.
