Learning Objectives Participants should gain skill in diagnosing and initiating treatment in three important areas: meningitis, encephalitis, and infections in immunosuppressed patients. Emphasis will be given to key points in initial diagnosis and treatment of patients with acute meningitis and encephalitis; and in the diagnosis and management of patients with CNS infections in immunocompromised patients, and with autoimmune encephalitis.
