This session features two distinguished leaders from the National Institutes of Health sharing the latest updates in clinical research. This session will outline current funding priorities and strategies for advancing neurological research. Dr. Clinton Wright, MD, MS, Associate Director for the Division of Clinical Research at NINDS, will outline current funding priorities and strategies for advancing neurological research. Dr. Paul Barrett, PhD, Program Director of the Neurobiology of Aging and Neurodegeneration branch at NIA, will discuss emerging opportunities in aging-related neurodegeneration research. Together, they will highlight key programmatic directions at their respective institutes and how researchers can effectively engage with NIH. Attendees will come away with a clearer understanding of the funding landscape, funding opportunities, and potential avenues for collaboration.
