Learning Objectives Participants should become familiar with the current standards and latest evidence for the assessment and treatment of acute and chronic pain. Clinicians' understanding of multimodal analgesia and ability to combine therapies safely and effectively should be enhanced. Knowledge of opioid prescribing and risk management should be enhanced. Participants' understanding of the concept of mechanism-based therapy and familiarity with novel therapies for the treatment of common pain problems should be improved.
